Genevac has launched the Flip-Flop™ system to improve post Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE®) concentration and preparation of samples.

Using the special double-ended Flip-Flop™ tube - samples can be collected directly from a Dionex ASE® system. A SampleGenie™ adaptor with GC vial is then fitted. The tube is flipped over and placed into the Puck sample holder in a Genevac Rocket Evaporator and the cap removed. The samples are then concentrated directly into a GC autosampler vial.

The Genevac Rocket Evaporator enables rapid concentration or evaporation of up to 18 Dionex ASE® vials simultaneously. In addition using Genevac's proprietary SampleGenie™ technology in conjunction with the Rocket Evaporator enables samples to be concentrated directly into an autosampler or storage vial, eliminating the need for manual sample transfer. Addition of the new Genevac Flip-Flop™ system completes the automation of transfers from ASE® vials.

Using this simple procedure eliminates manual transfer steps and helps automate the ASE® evaporation / concentration process resulting in improved laboratory workflow, increased reproducibility of results and enhanced sample recovery.

AutosamplersAutosamplers are automated sample loaders used with a number of separation and analytical techniques. HPLC autosamplers use automated partial or full-loop injection systems and place samples in vials or microplates for analysis. Autosamplers can also be used for elemental analysis. Features to consider include repeatability, syringe capacity, footprint and temperature controls.  Gas ChromatographyGas chromatography (GC) is an analytical technique used to separate and quantitate mixtures of small and volatile compounds. Gas chromatographs or GC systems include components such as GC columns, detectors, pumps and autosamplers. Choose from packed or capillary GC columns, flame ionization (FID), photoionization (PID) electron capture detectors and selective or non-selective detectors.
