Product news

The new ELF® Phosphatase Detection Kit from ATCC®, now available though LGC Promochem, offers a simple and robust method to fluorescently detect and visualise alkaline phosphatase activity in embryonic stem (ES) cells.

The test method, which has been optimised by scientists at the ATCC Stem Cell Center, takes only a few minutes to perform and can be used alone or in conjunction with other techniques to provide dual colour assessment of overall in-vitro stem cell pluripotency. By quickly assessing the state of ES cells, the assay allows improved reproducibility of scientific data, enabling researchers to have increased confidence in their results.

Cell / Tissue CultureCell culture or tissue culture is used to study the biology of cells or tissues and to isolate cellular products in an environment which can be manipulated and well defined. Accurately control your culture environment with bioreactors or culture incubators, bind your cells to a surface or together with an extracellular matrix. Distinguish cell types with differential media or proliferate cells with certain characteristics using selective media. Enrich your media with supplements such as growth factors, sera and vitamins.
