Product news

R&D Systems now offers a Human/Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell 4-Color Flow Cytometry Kit (Catalog # FMC001).

This kit contains four different fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies and the corresponding isotype controls for single-step staining of human and mouse embryonic stem cells. The antibodies included are PE-conjugated anti-SOX2, APC-conjugated anti-Oct-3/4, PerCP-conjugated anti-SSEA-1, and CFS-conjugated anti-SSEA-4. In addition, the kit includes fixation, permeabilization, and wash buffers.

The figure displays a Multi-color Analysis of Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells by Flow Cytometry. D3 mouse embryonic stem cells were stained with the indicated antibodies (filled histograms) or corresponding isotype controls (open histograms) provided in the Human/Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell 4-Color Flow Cytometry Kit (Catalog # FMC001).

R&D Flow Cytometry Kit - Flow cytometry kits designed for analysis of cell populations use up to four fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies. Flow cytometry facilitates quantitative, multiparameter analysis of cell populations based on the expression of cell surface and/or intracellular molecules. R&D Systems offers a wide range of biotin-, fluorescein-, phycoerythrin-, or allophycocyanin-conjugated monoclonal antibodies specifically designed to monitor the presence of cytokines and cytokine receptors as well as Fluorokine® kits; labeled cytokines that can be used to monitor the presence of cytokine receptors. Features of the Flow Cytometry Kit:• Simultaneous detection multiple different targets • Rapid & efficient • Single step staining R&D Fluorokine Receptor Detection Kits employ recombinant biotinylated ligands to quantitatively determine cytokine receptor density using flow cytometry. These simple kits allow the user to estimate the percentage of cells within a population which express the receptor of interest. In addition, cell surface receptor density can be assessed. Flow Cytometry Kit Contents (Multi-Color):• Fluorochrome conjugated antibodies • Isotype controls • All necessary buffers Flow Cytometry Kit Contents (Fluorokine Receptor): • Biotinylated recombinant, species specific ligand • Avidin conjugated with fluorescein (at an f:p ratio of 5:1) • Negative control reagents • Blocking antibody • Wash buffer concentrate

Cell / Tissue CultureCell culture or tissue culture is used to study the biology of cells or tissues and to isolate cellular products in an environment which can be manipulated and well defined. Accurately control your culture environment with bioreactors or culture incubators, bind your cells to a surface or together with an extracellular matrix. Distinguish cell types with differential media or proliferate cells with certain characteristics using selective media. Enrich your media with supplements such as growth factors, sera and vitamins. High-quality cells, optimized for your applications, alongside optimized cell substrates, growth medium and supplements, are critical for experimental success. Explore a range of cells suitable for your applications, including isogenic cell lines, competent cells, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell lines, fungal/bacterial/mammalian cell lines, stem cells and cancer cell lines. Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays. This can reveal information on cell health (apoptosis, cytotoxicity, viability and proliferation assays), cell metabolism, cell migration and cell signaling mechanisms.
