Product news

The Huber CT50 cold trap offers direct, rapid cooling to temperatures as low as -50°C as well as low operating costs. Its compact design takes up minimal space on the laboratory bench. Thanks to the natural refrigerant, the cold trap works in an environmentally friendly manner. It is also robust and durable due to the high-quality materials used in its manufacture. The evaporator is made of stainless steel, and on request can be coated with resistant polytetrafluoroethylene, ceramic polymers etc. The cold trap comes with a drip tray, and a glass accessory set is also available to order.

The CT50 Single OLÉ cold trap means that evaporation tasks in the laboratory are now even easier and cheaper. It has been specially developed to offer highly efficient solvent recovery in laboratory conditions. The CT50 cold trap can be connected to rotary evaporators or any other application requiring low temperatures for solvent recovery.

Operating the cold trap is easy and convenient thanks to the modern OLÉ controller. The controller facilitates everyday tasks through practical features such as its bright OLED display with menu navigation, plus USB and RS232 connections for data transfer.

Advantages:

  • Highly efficient solvent recovery
  • Operating temperatures as low as -50°C
  • For rotary evaporators and other distillation equipment
  • Drip tray included
  • Glass accessory set also available

This is a useful technique for sample concentration or sample drying. Many centrifugal evaporators are modular with a central vacuum pump for generating low pressure. Useful features of evaporators or vacuum ovens include minimal solvent bumping, solvent resistance, computer control, temperature regulation and benchtop design.Digestion and ExtractionDigestion and extraction apparatus are used in sample preparation to break down samples or extract organic or aqueous compounds from a solid. Digestion may be conducted via hot block, microwave or Kjeldahl digestion apparatus. Extraction systems typically involve solvent extraction and include Soxhlet, Randall or Twisselmann extraction methods.
