HORIBA has launched the PoliSpectra® Rapid Raman Plate Reader (RPR) for Raman high-throughput screening (HTS). Raman HTS of 96 liquid wells offers a streamlined alternative to slower traditional methods. The system features full automation, including a motorized door, dedicated software, and server access for seamless integration with automated liquid handling systems or with robotic arm microplate loaders.

The PoliSpectra® RPR performs non-destructive analysis for real-time monitoring of reactions, and its patent-pending rapid Raman reading technology, along with a Plate Heater, supports live process monitoring through rapid plate reading and transfer, at reaction temperature.

The RPR’s Control Software offers OPC-UA or REST API interfaces for automated integration with standard pharmaceutical systems.

“RPR was designed to support time-sensitive applications in drug discovery and formulation development and to address challenges faced during pharmaceutical drug development,” said Aashish Tuladhar, Ph.D, Raman Plate Reader Product Manager at HORIBA. “Our RPR technology provides a unique combination of ultimate sensitivity, speed, and automation integration, empowering researchers to monitor reactions in real-time and optimize processes more efficiently.”
