Product news

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments' AIM-8800 Infrared Microscope was designed for easy, automatic operation with the high performance necessary for even the most challenging infrared applications.

Completely automated, with operation as simple as point and click, the high-sensitivity AIM-8800 supports analysis using transmission, reflection, as well as ATR methods. It enables efficient and accurate analysis of trace components, contaminants, surface defects, multi-layer laminants, thin films, coatings, pharmaceuticals, fibers, and forensic samples.

Using AIM View software, all operations including sample positioning and centering as well as aperture setting and focusing, can be conveniently performed on the PC screen. Each AIM-8800 system provides video display and screen capture capability via the on-board CCD camera. Users can archive sample images for easy redisplay or publication, and store images and spectra as one file. A variety of options and accessories are available including several ATR objectives and mapping software to provide spectral and dimensional analysis with display of surfaces.

Coupled with the IRPrestige-21 or FTIR-8400S, this powerful system enables comprehensive analysis with high-level data processing functions. A variety of accessories are available.
