Product news

Live cell researchers are now able to advance understanding of interactions in vivo through the capture analysis and processing of high quality, high resolution fluorescence images thanks to the launch of the DS-Qi1Mc, Nikon’s new monochrome quantitative digital camera.Offering advanced capabilities for high speed and increased sensitivity applications in fluorescence imaging, this extremely specialised model maintains both the efficiency and price of its counterpart the simple cooled camera.

Fitted with the most sophisticated CCD technology available, this ultra high-quality digital camera has been launched in response to increased customer demand for increasingly specialised equipment. Featuring a 1.3 megapixel CCD, the DS-Qi1Mc is able to accurately capture microstructures at high frame rates and defined resolutions.

Once the camera is coupled with Nikon’s DS-U2 controller, and configured with Nikon’s NIS Elements software packages, researchers are able to carry out every part of their experimental protocol, from image capture, recording, and measurement through to processing and analysing with this single unit.

This latest launch from Nikon highlights its continued commitment towards complete live cell care, by providing researchers with the equipment for application in demanding digital imaging, and will prove a vital tool for scientists exploring live cell interactions in real-time.
