The SelectScience Editors are pleased to announce this complimentary, live educational webinar entitled “Automating High-Throughput Sample Prep for the Analysis of Complex Diseases Using Next-Generation Sequencing”, featuring guest speaker Shawn Levy, Ph.D., HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology.

Dr. Levy will be providing an insight into how automating complex NGS sample preparation processes, such as library construction and size selection, can improve efficiency, increase throughput and ultimately lead to better sequencing runs.

Dr. Levy is a Faculty Investigator at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville Alabama. He also holds adjunct appointments in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Department of Genetics and Department Epidemiology at University of Alabama-Birmingham. His research interests include the genetics of complex disease and immune system response and diversity in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

Tamara Reed, Life Science Editor at SelectScience, will be leading a Q&A with Dr. Levy following the webinar.

Sequencing systems operate via varying technologies depending on the manufacturer, including sequencing by synthesis, ligation, pyrosequencing, ion semiconductor and single-molecule real-time sequencing. For NGS, library preparation is paramount to successful sequencing. In this section, explore a range of library preparation kits, from targeted, amplicon-based or hybridization-based kits including epigenomic, transcriptomic and genomic workflows to fragmentation kits.
