Genevac Rocket Synergy: A Versatile Evaporator for Lab and Batch Processing Tasks

15 Oct 2014

Product news

The new Genevac Rocket Synergy series sets a new benchmark in sample evaporation versatility through offering automated evaporation of a wide range of sample formats and sizes, from milliliters to tens of liters.

The Rocket Synergy can dry or concentrate up to six flasks, each containing a maximum of 450ml of solvent, or 18 ASE® vials, with no user intervention or attention. To extend operational versatility the Rocket Synergy flask rotor may be quickly removed and replaced with a stainless steel vessel allowing unattended automated batch processing of up to 5 liters per run. For larger volume applications the Rocket 4D Synergy also offers an automatic feed mode enabling processing of volumes of up to 100L in a single run.

Five times faster than other 'intelligent' evaporators, Rocket Synergy and Rocket 4D Synergy are each capable of replacing several rotary evaporators, saving valuable bench space and improving your productivity.

Rocket Synergy Evaporator

Genevac

Rocket Evaporators use patented vacuum technology to evaporate solutions to dryness, or a concentrate, rapidly and safely. The latest Synergy series offers integrated, flexible solutions for processing a wide range of sample volumes. Interchangeable rotors will accommodate tubes, flasks and batch volumes of up to 100L. Rocket Synergy is designed primarily to quickly process larger volumes of solvent in parallel and without supervision. The Rocket Synergy Evaporator will accommodate six flasks, each containing up to 450ml of solvent, as well a variety of innovative Genevac sample holders such as the SampleGenie. The removable rotor may also be replaced with a 5L 316 stainless steel vessel for batch processing. Now you don't need to choose between flask or batch/feed evaporation. The Rocket and Rocket 4D Synergy evaporators will accommodate your process, whatever the volume. Each is capable of replacing several rotary evaporators and saving valuable bench space.

Washing EquipmentWashing equipment is more convenient than ever before with automated systems, integrated and multi-application systems available. For instance microplate washers can be programmable, combined with reagents dispensers and used for applications such as ELISA, multiplex assays and PCR clean up.Sample ManagementSample management systems include sample storage devices such as freezers and plate storers, sample environment enclosures and sample organization, retrieval and sorter systems. Useful system features include high-throughput, automation, robotic arms, automated liquid handling and associated database systems. Accessories in sample management include barcode scanners, heat sealers and tubes.Evaporators and Freeze DryersCentrifugal evaporation is used for solvent removal from a sample. This is a useful technique for sample concentration or sample drying. Many centrifugal evaporators are modular with a central vacuum pump for generating low pressure. Useful features of evaporators or vacuum ovens include minimal solvent bumping, solvent resistance, computer control, temperature regulation and benchtop design.Sample ConcentrationSample concentration involves the removal of solvents from samples using technologies such as centrifugal evaporation, lyophilization and rotary evaporation.
