R&D Magazine recognizes the Formulator as one of the top 100 innovations of 2008. The Formulator received the magazine’s prestigious R&D 100 award.

The Formulator is a next-generation liquid handler that uses patent-pending microfluidic technology to dispense grids, dilutions, and random experiments up to ten times faster than traditional liquid handlers.

Fast - dispense a 100μL, 3 ingredient, 96 well grid in as little as 60 seconds.

Precise -dispense both viscous and non-viscous liquids down to 200nL with CVs below 5%. No upper limit on dispense volume.

Reliable - chemically inert, self washing, no regular maintenance required.

Small - the Formulator 16sp is approximately the size of an average laptop computer.

Easy to use - no difficult programming or complicated usage steps. Design your experiments using an intuitive experiment designer (sold separately), place your ingredients on the instrument, and click run.

Flexible - supports virtually all plate types including 384-, 96-, and 24-well SBS plates, 24- and 48-well VDX plates, and Linbro plates. Support for 1536-well SBS plates will be available with smaller, lower-flow nozzles.
