Product news

Targeted cancer therapy represents a promising new cancer treatment, which delivers drugs in specific carriers and interferes with the specific target molecules that play a critical role in tumour growth and progression.

Exosomes expressing specific surface markers (among them CD81, CD63, and CD9) have been found to play roles in cancer progression and tumorigenesis as a transporter of miRNA. As a delivery system, they can therefore potentially be used as a specific carrier of immunotherapy/chemotherapy and cancer vaccines, as can be seen in a growing number of biotech companies, such as Evox Therapeutics developing exosome-based therapies.

The new column-based exosome isolation kit from AMSBIO works to isolate intact exosomes from both serum and cell-conditioned media. Exosome detection ELISA kits quantify exosome levels in the fractions as well as in samples such as culture media and sera. In addition, AMSBIO also provides monoclonal antibodies against common exosome markers and immune checkpoint ligands for immunostaining, ELISA, or flow cytometry.

AMSBIO offers a wide selection of products dedicated to Exosome Research. This includes high quality reagents and kits that are quick, affordable and easy to use.

AntibodiesAntibodies are used in techniques such as confocal and fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, immunohistochemistry, western blotting and immunopreciptation. Select specific antigen reactivity, high specific affinity, low non-specific binding, monoclonal or polyclonal, primary or secondary antibodies and associated conjugates such as an enzyme or dye for visualization.ELISAEnzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), also known as enzyme immunoassays (EIA), are used for the detection and quantification of proteins, peptides and antibodies in a sample. ELISA often comes in kit format, with pre-selected antibody pairs to detect specific proteins or biomarkers of diseases such as diabetes and obesity, or cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Detection is made possible with chemiluminescent, fluorescent or colorimetric substrates and detection instruments such as microplate / ELISA readers. Other kits available include: Enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assays for the quantification of protein-producing cells and chemiluminescent immunoassays (CLIA) kits. Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays. The use of biomarkers in research and diagnosis can indicate a normal or disease state or drug response of cells / tissues. Biomarkers include genetic markers, cell surface markers such as antigens, antibodies or receptors and secreted molecules such as cytokines. An assay system is required for identification of biomarkers. :ChemotherapyExosomesELISACancer ResearchAlthough cancer is often referred to as a single condition, it actually consists of more than 100 different diseases. Microscopy, mass spectrometry, high throughput sequencing and flow cytometry are some of the most common techniques employed in cancer research labs.
