Product news

As part of the 30th Birthday celebrations for Eppendorf’s Multipette, this electronic hand dispenser was offered as a unique special edition. Now, this specially designed Multipette Xstream as a Kary Mullis Limited Edition has been introduced to the market on the trade show Biotechnica 2009 in Hanover.

Each Kary Mullis Limited Edition is delivered in a premium presentation box containing the distinctive anthracite coloured dispenser, an exclusive stylish Multipette-holder and a set of all Combitips sizes. The device, stand and box carry the signature of Kary B. Mullis, marking the pioneering achievement of the 1993 Nobel laureate for chemistry who invented the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). A testimonial by Dr. Mullis completes this package.

Over 30 years the Multipette has become an indispensable laboratory tool for liquid handling tasks. In addition to high precision, contamination-free dispensing of liquids of different densities, viscous or volatile, the electronic Multipette Xstream is also ideal for aspirating, titrating and sequential dispensing. With enhanced sensor technology for Combitip recognition, the Kary Mullis edition offers a unique opportunity to own a limited piece of Multipette technology.
