Next month British autoclave manufacturer Priorclave is showcasing one its’ most versatile front loading autoclaves at the Medlab exhibition. The combination of energy efficiencies, superior sterilizing performance and very competitive pricing has made the EH150 front loading autoclave a popular choice for so many labs in the food, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors as well as numerous research centres and educational establishments.

Visitors to stand B58, Hall Z3 will have the opportunity to examine first-hand the superior build quality of Priorclave autoclaves through the EH150, a front loading 150 litre autoclave where the side panel has been deliberately replaced by a clear sided panel to give visitors a clear view of the clean, structured lines of the autoclave build.

One touch controls allow for easy adjustment of sterilizing temperature and time for simple cycles to fully featured multi-programme operation. In addition, the advanced microprocessor systems stores details of the sterilizing cycle, data such as temperature, pressure and time are held in an archive file.

Built to International Standards, the EH150 autoclave incorporates epoxy coated panels and frame members treated with an anti-bacterial agent which is highly effective against all bacteria and fungi including MRSA, E.coli, Listeria, Legionella, Campylobacter, Salmonella and Pseudomonas, helping to preventing cross contamination.

The EH150 featured on the Priorclave stand B58 at Medlab is representative of the fine build quality that can be found across the extensive autoclave range which includes benchtop, top and front loading free-standing, double-door, stackable and power door laboratory autoclaves.

Autoclaves and SterilizersAutoclaves and sterilizers are commonly used to sterilize laboratory equipment, instruments and growth media using constant pressure and temperature. When choosing an autoclave or sterilizer consider medical or laboratory application, size, loading and sterilization method. Sterilization methods include flame (Bunsen burners), heat (steam or dry), chemical and UV.MicrobiologyMicrobiology is the study of microorganisms including protists, prokaryotes, fungi, and, often, viruses. Microorganisms are a useful research tool as genetic vectors and, in immunology, for antibiotic susceptibility testing, cellular biology and genetics. Microorganisms commonly grow readily in incubators with microbial culture media; this can contain chromogenic supplements to differentiate between cell lines. Estimate your culture’s density of microorganisms with colony counters, or screen and select colonies for desirable clones with automated colony pickers. Additionally, equipment is available to monitor environments for the presence of microbes and identify with microbial identification instruments.
