Product news

Leading chemistry automation product innovator Syrris, has announced the launch of the new Atlas Hot and Cold Plate, the latest addition to the Atlas family of modular synthesis products. Fully compatible with a range of accessories, including the Atlas Stacking Dry Bath, Vial Baths and the Orbit Parallel Reaction Station, the Hot and Cold Plate provides an easy and accurate way of heating and cooling reactions in flasks or vials.

With an embedded Resistance temperature detector (RTD) allowing feedback of plate temperature, the Hot and Cold Plate can be accurately controlled from the Atlas Base. By connecting to a re-circulating heater/cooler the plate is able to provide control of a wide temperature range from -40°C to +160°C and the temperature can be fully logged and downloaded to a USB memory stick for offline analysis. Rapid, leak free connection is made possible with the Atlas Quick Circulator Connectors, enabling “tool-less” connection for ease-of-use. Furthermore, a built-in drip tray collects condensation and melting ice whilst the chemically resistant aluminium plate provides a “wipe clean” surface. For high quality magnetic stirring, the Atlas Magnetic Stirrer module screws directly into the Hot and Cold Plate for easy integration.

The new Hot and Cold Plate from Syrris forms part of the Atlas family of automated synthesis systems. For more information on Atlas and its extended family of products, please visit the article webpage.

Atlas Hot and Cold plate

Syrris Limited

The Atlas Hot and Cold Plate is an easy and accurate way of heating and cooling reactions in flasks or vials. Designed to fit on the Atlas Base, the Hot and Cold Plate connects to a recirculating heater/cooler to provide temperature control from -40°C to +160°C. When a controllable circulator is connected to the Atlas Base, the Hot and Cold Plate or reaction can be accurately controlled to the temperature set on the Atlas Base.

Combinatorial ChemistryCombinatorial chemistry, also known as combichem, is a technique used in drug discovery to create libraries of structurally related compounds. A library is generated by synthesis with a chemical reactor system or by computer-based modeling of compound combinations. When undertaking combinatorial chemistry consider reagents, buffers, resins and standards.Baths and CirculatorsLaboratory baths and circulators are capable of refrigerating and heating to meet the demands of any temperature controlled application.Shakers, Stirrers and MixersShakers, stirrers and mixers are used for mixing liquids and solids for laboratory applications.
