Product news

INTERSCIENCE introduces the new EasySpiral® at PITTCON (Orlando, USA) and ANALYTICA (Munich, Germany). EasySpiral® provides standardized plating with a sensitivity from 30 to 10 million CFU/ml on only 1 Petri dish without preliminary dilutions for higher lab capacities.

Delivering the fastest cycle time ever seen, INTERSCIENCE's EasySpiral® has an impressive rotating arm architecture, new patented disinfection system avoiding cross-contamination risks and full traceability of the operations. Competitive, equiped with high-tech new patents, EasySpiral® reach an unequalled level of performance.

WHAT’S NEW?
• Faster automatic plating time (disinfection, sample-taking and plating): 25 seconds, world's quickest
• Rotating arm architecture: high speed movements and simplified mechanics (new patent)
• Auto disinfection system by overflow : no cross-contamination (new patent)
• USB programmable plating volumes from 10 up to 1000 microliters and monitoring software with traceability system
• 75% less consummables than the manual method + considerable time-saving
• AFNOR V08-100 standards. Made in France by INTERSCIENCE

High-performance solution for plating
INTERSCIENCE EasySpiral® is a fully automatic bacterial plater in compliance with today’s demands of productivity and efficiency in microbiological labs. Once the sample preparation is done, Petri dishes must be plated in order to carry out the microbiological analysis. When at least 3 dilutions are necessary in the manual plating method, there is no need for dilutions with EasySpiral®. The sensitivity is from 30 to 10 million CFU/ml on one Petri dish without any preliminary dilution of the mother suspension. Costs in time, consumables, space and steps are reduced by 75% as opposed to the manual method.

AFNOR V08-100 standards
Accepted by the A.O.A.C and AFNOR standard V08-100 as an official method for bacterial enumeration. The Spiral® method has become the reference for applications such as food microbiology, medical bacteriology, research on food preservatives or cosmetological factor. The saving made on consumables (Petri dishes, agar, pipettes) also help to make it an environmental-friendly product.

EasySpiral®, 3rd generation of Spiral® platers
With new design and new patents, EasySpiral® is today the best product of the Spiral® technology. Its new features enable high-speed efficiency and repeatable results which is a demand of today's labs. The patented rotating arm architecture makes it the world's fastest Spiral® plater, only 25 seconds for a complete cycle. The patented disinfection system has an autonomy of 600 cleaning cycles and EasySpiral® is equiped with security detections if disinfection liquid is missing. The pre-set plating volumes are completed by the USB programmable volumes from 10 up to 1000 microliters. Data is exported via Excel and bar-code for full traceability.

INTERSCIENCE, 30 years of Spiral® experience
The Spiral® method was developed by Dr Ed Campbell, researcher at the FDA and François Jalenques, founder of INTERSCIENCE. With more than 30 years of experience, EasySpiral® is the 3rd generation of Spiral® platers to offer more reliable and new designed products.

The EasySpiral® automatic bacterial plater guarantees a quick use in compliance with the G.L.P “Good Laboratory Practice”. No special training is necessary.

MicroplatesMicroplates are multi-well plates used to increase the throughput of biological investigations. The number of wells microplates contain can range from 6 to 3243 wells, with the 96-well format being the most commonly used. Microplates can come tailored for a range of applications including cell culture, PCR, filtration, storage, non-binding surface, protein crystallization, as well as pre-coated, deep well and normal Standard microplates. Additionally, options for microplate colors include clear , black, white or black with clear bottom and white with clear bottom for absorbance microplate reader applications. Microorganisms are a useful research tool as genetic vectors and, in immunology, for antibiotic susceptibility testing, cellular biology and genetics. Microorganisms commonly grow readily in incubators with microbial culture media; this can contain chromogenic supplements to differentiate between cell lines. Estimate your culture’s density of microorganisms with colony counters, or screen and select colonies for desirable clones with automated colony pickers. Additionally, equipment is available to monitor environments for the presence of microbes and identify with microbial identification instruments.
