Product news

The new TubeWriter 2.0 is the first direct printer for laboratory media, including microcentrifuge tubes, cryogenic vials, cluster tubes, plates, slides and glass vials.

Information is entered in an Excel spreadsheet and printed by the TubeWriter with the current alcohol- and water-resistant ink used in laboratories. Tubes and samples may be printed up to 40 at a time in as little as 3 minutes. Because no adhesive labels are used, tubes may be placed in liquid N2, -80ºC freezers, boiling water, or into microcentrifuges, without the printing coming off. Printing may be made on the tops or sides of media. After a successful debut at Laboratory Automation 2008, TubeWriter now introduces consumable pre-loaded racks. The entire package of software, hardware, racks and warranty is included for under $5,000.
