Cherwell Laboratories has announced that it is to exhibit its aseptic process validation range at the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sciences Society (PHSS) Aseptic Services Pharmacy Training Course. The company will be on hand to offer delegates advice and solutions for their aseptic process monitoring and validation needs.

Cherwell Laboratories supplies a comprehensive range of products for microbiological validation of aseptic processing. The range includes agars, air samplers, settle plate stands and plate carriers for environmental monitoring, as well as broths in bags, vials and ampoules for process and operator validation. The company also supplies biological indicators and miniature intrinsically safe temperature, pressure and relative humidity data-loggers for validation of sterilisation processes as well as a complete range of media for investigations and quality control.

The PHSS event is designed to exchange scientific, technical and regulatory knowledge between the industry, NHS and contract service providers. The event will provide vital information for aseptic service managers, pharmacy technicians and operators, as well as those working in quality control and assurance. The meeting will take place on the 19-20th March at the Hilton London Kensington. Day 1 is aimed at the NHS, and day 2 at contract providers.

Andy Whittard, Managing Director at Cherwell Laboratories, commented: “We want to demonstrate our commitment to the support of NHS pharmacy aseptic services. We will be on site for both days of the course, answering any questions and discussing the range of solutions we offer to meet end user needs.”

MicrobiologyMicrobiology is the study of microorganisms including protists, prokaryotes, fungi, and, often, viruses. Microorganisms are a useful research tool as genetic vectors and, in immunology, for antibiotic susceptibility testing, cellular biology and genetics. Microorganisms commonly grow readily in incubators with microbial culture media; this can contain chromogenic supplements to differentiate between cell lines. Estimate your culture’s density of microorganisms with colony counters, or screen and select colonies for desirable clones with automated colony pickers. Additionally, equipment is available to monitor environments for the presence of microbes and identify with microbial identification instruments.
