AES (Advanced Electrophoresis Solutions Ltd.) introduced the CEInfinite system to Europe at HPLC 2015 on June 21, intending to bring to the life science market a powerful total solution for protein characterization and analysis.

CEInfinite is a state of the art capillary electrophoresis (CE) system based on whole column imaging detection (WCID) technology. As a total solution provider, AES has successfully commercialized unique technologies and provides customers with a whole capillary isoelectric focusing (CIEF) product line, which includes instrument systems, proprietary cartridges, ampholytes and pI standards.

The CEInfinite instrument system was designed for high throughput and reliable protein separation. A high sensitivity CMOS imaging sensor and deep UV LED light source are used in the instrument to achieve high performance WCID as well as overall system compactness and robustness.

The CEInfinite proprietary cartridge series (patent pending) has been developed to improve detection sensitivity and increase the speed of sample injection. The result is about 100% increase in sensitivity compared to other similar products in the market. The CEInfinite separation column coatings are manufactured to ensure that they are stable at extreme pH values, which is important for CIEF. The cartridge series includes the world’s first WCID imaging cartridges for direct coupling to a mass spectrometer and the world’s first WCID imaging cartridges for preparative CIEF.

The CEInfinite Aeslytes, a series of carrier ampholytes, have been developed and synthesized strictly to ensure high resolving power and consistent quality for high performance CIEF separation. The CEInfinite pI markers are the most comprehensive, well spaced and well calibrated pI markers on the market, covering a broad pH range from 2.5 to 10.5. AES is the only company in the world that can provide customers with over 30 pI markers.

Moreover, AES understands the biopharmaceutical industry's needs and is able to provide customized CIEF orders to meet the customer’s specific requirements. Dr. Tiemin Huang, AES’ chief executive, noted, “Customers will get the most reliable resolution and high performance with the full CEInfinite product line. We value providing solutions more than simply selling products. Our goal is to simplify the customers’ protein electrophoresis experience.”
