Product news

CD47, or Integrin associated protein (IAP), is a transmembrane protein that in humans is encoded by the CD47 gene. Studies have established that CD47 is involved in a range of cellular processes, including apoptosis, proliferation, adhesion and migration.

CD47 is also known to be a key regulator of tissue homeostasis, and is also involved in a variety of diseases ranging from atherosclerosis to cancer. Given its significant role in pathogenesis of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, CD47 signaling has been heavily investigated for new targeted therapeutics.

The unique set of CD47-relevant products from AMSBIO includes human CD47 protein and multiple avi tag pre-biotinylated proteins. Derived from Human (HEK 293) cells, AMSBIO CD47 protein products demonstrate superb bioactivity, high detection sensitivity and authentic post translational modification and protein conformation. The new AMSBIO CD47 protein kits are supplied as pairs of products that can be easily adapted to ELISA, AlphaLISA™ and MSD platforms to facilitate rapid and easy screening of the neutralizing compound.

The CD47 protein product range is an exciting addition to AMSBIO's exclusive biotinylated protein collection which is specially designed to simplify your research.

Cell / Tissue CultureCell culture or tissue culture is used to study the biology of cells or tissues and to isolate cellular products in an environment which can be manipulated and well defined. Accurately control your culture environment with bioreactors or culture incubators, bind your cells to a surface or together with an extracellular matrix. Distinguish cell types with differential media or proliferate cells with certain characteristics using selective media. Enrich your media with supplements such as growth factors, sera and vitamins. There are many genomic technologies such as DNA sequencing of whole genomes, computational biology and bioinformatics. DNA and nucleic acids must be isolated and concentrated from cells for analysis with kits, automated analyzers and software. Other useful technologies for studying genomics include PCR, microarrays and electrophoresis.ELISAEnzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), also known as enzyme immunoassays (EIA), are used for the detection and quantification of proteins, peptides and antibodies in a sample. ELISA often comes in kit format, with pre-selected antibody pairs to detect specific proteins or biomarkers of diseases such as diabetes and obesity, or cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Detection is made possible with chemiluminescent, fluorescent or colorimetric substrates and detection instruments such as microplate / ELISA readers. Other kits available include: Enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assays for the quantification of protein-producing cells and chemiluminescent immunoassays (CLIA) kits. Tools used in proteomics include chromatography, blotting and gels, protein arrays, mass spectrometry and ELISA and associated analysis software. Analyzers and proteomic systems should be sensitive, high resolution, fast and may be automated for high-throughput.Cell Adhesion AssaysCell adhesion assays are used to quantitate attachment and analyze the molecular mechanisms for extracellular matrix adhesion, cell migration and sensitivity to inhibitors. Find the best cell adhesion assay equipment in our peer-reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receive pricing direct from manufacturers.ApoptosisApoptosis, or programmed cell death, is a vital process for healthy tissues and is key to our understanding of disease mechanisms like cancer and neurodegeneration. Research tools enable apoptosis detection, quantification, and analysis. Browse products for apoptosis research in our peer-reviewed product directory.Cancer ResearchCancer research aims to understand the mechanisms of cancer development and progression to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. From molecular biology to clinical trials, research spans a wide range of disciplines, including immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and drug discovery.
