Epicentre’s new Ribo-Zero™ Magnetic Gold Kit (yeast) enables the rapid, effective depletion of rRNA from intact or partially degraded yeast RNA samples. Fast and easy to use, the Ribo-Zero™ Magnetic Gold technology uses a single-pass process which enables whole transcriptome RNA sequencing of mRNA and non-coding, non-ribosomal RNAs. Ribo-Zero™ Magnetic Gold Kit (Yeast) depletes rRNA from S. cerevisiae, S. pombe and other yeast species. The convenient magnetic bead format allows integration with both automated and manual processes, depending on user preferences and laboratory procedures.

Ribo-Zero™ Magnetic Gold is also available in an optimized format that includes ScriptSeq V2 RNA-Seq Library Preparation kit called ScriptSeq™ Complete Gold Kit (Yeast). This innovative combination produces cluster-ready, rRNA-free whole transcriptome RNA-Seq libraries from yeast samples in just 7 hours. The libraries are index-compatible (with additional ScriptSeq™ Index PCR Primers), and typically contain less than 3% rRNA reads. With these kits, researchers can be confident of producing high-quality RNA-Seq libraries in the most time-efficient way. A low-input version of the ScriptSeq™ Complete Gold Yeast kit, for 100 ng – 1 µg of total RNA, will also be available soon.
