Caliper Life Sciences will present its range of pre-clinical imaging products including the Quantum FX micro CT system. Caliper’s IVIS system dominates the preclinical imaging field with over 850 systems placed in laboratories worldwide for drug discovery and life science research. Over 1,400 publications attest to IVIS systems being used in multiple therapeutic areas including oncology in all of the major pharmaceutical companies as well as top research institutes. IVIS enables longitudinal in vivo studies with true 3D images of disease progression and therapeutic effect and minimal impact on the subject.

Traditional CT systems require a high X-ray dose to generate images with high resolution. Quantum FX uses new technology to deliver high quality images with very low X-ray dose, so even in extended studies your data are biologically relevant. Using Quantum FX, CT images can be captured at every time-point in a longitudinal study, just as they can with IVIS – and the optical and CT images can be co-registered. True 3D tomography and the co-registration of multiple modalities are key steps in the evolution of pre-clinical imaging and the development of translational techniques for clinical use.

Caliper will also be introducing new cell lines for oncology research and presenting its full line of reagents and consumables for pre-clinical in vivo imaging.
