Bioo Scientific’s NEXTflex™ 16S V1 – V3 Amplicon-Seq Kit simplifies bacterial metagenomics studies for sequencing on the Illumina® MiSeq platform. This kit allows users to go from sample to sequence in two hours, making it the fastest library prep kit available. Up to 384 barcodes are available with this kit, offering extreme flexibility and multiplexing power to rRNA sequencing. Sequencing primers are included in the kit eliminating the need for custom synthesis.

16S V1-V3 amplicon processing involves two main steps: an initial PCR amplification using customized PCR primers that target the V1-V3 domains, and a subsequent PCR amplification that integrates relevant flow cell binding domains and unique 12 base pair sample indices. The number of cleanup steps is limited to ensure maximum recovery of amplicons for downstream sequencing.

The NEXTflex 16S V1 – V3 Amplicon-Seq Kit simplifies bacterial diversity studies, studies of interactions between host species and bacterial communities, identification of non-culturable bacteria, detection of adventitious agents and enzyme discovery and production.

The NEXTflex 16S V1 – V3 Amplicon-Seq Kit is the latest addition to Bioo Scientific’s line of library prep kits for Illumina-compatible metagenomics analysis, which includes the NEXTflex™ 16S V4 Amplicon-Seq Kits.

Genome AnalysisGenomics, the study of genomes, includes functional genomics, evolutionary genomics and comparative genomics. There are many genomic technologies such as DNA sequencing of whole genomes, computational biology and bioinformatics. DNA and nucleic acids must be isolated and concentrated from cells for analysis with kits, automated analyzers and software. Other useful technologies for studying genomics include PCR, microarrays and electrophoresis.PCR and Thermal CyclingPolymerase chain reaction (PCR) kits and thermal cyclers are used for the in vitro amplification of DNA permitting subsequent analysis and experimental procedures. Explore a range of high-quality polymerase, primers and nucleotides or simplify your workflow with a PCR mastermix. Find reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and cDNA synthesis kits for RNA products and libraries. Quantitatively measure the amplification of DNA with real-time PCR (qPCR) and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) kits and systems, and discover automated PCR setup solutions to increase throughput. Alternative DNA amplification methods also include recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) kits. Microorganisms are a useful research tool as genetic vectors and, in immunology, for antibiotic susceptibility testing, cellular biology and genetics. Microorganisms commonly grow readily in incubators with microbial culture media; this can contain chromogenic supplements to differentiate between cell lines. Estimate your culture’s density of microorganisms with colony counters, or screen and select colonies for desirable clones with automated colony pickers. Additionally, equipment is available to monitor environments for the presence of microbes and identify with microbial identification instruments.
