BioMicroLab introduces the SampleScan High Speed. The new SampleScan High Speed compliments BioMicroLab’s existing line of 2D barcode decoding instruments with a new high throughput scanning option.

SampleScan High Speed will decode one 2D barcoded 96 tube rack in under 3 seconds. Preconfigured with decoding settings for all major manufacturers (Matrix, ABgene, and Micronic), the SampleScan HS can be operational in under 15 minutes. Output data can be customized and fully integrated with a laboratory’s LIMS system. Priced under $10,000.00, the SampleScan High Speed is an attractive alternative for laboratories looking for camera-based 2D barcode readers.

The new SampleScan High Speed comes in two versions: SampleScan NET attaches to networks via an IP address or the SampleScan HS is operated using a USB cable via the SampleScan software interface. All of BioMicroLab products are available with ActiveX controls for custom software or hardware integration with laboratory LIMS systems.

BioMicroLab also offers robotic tube sorting, scanning, and weighing instruments for 96 tube rack format samples. BioMicroLab's XL20 Tube Handler automates sample management tasks including re-arraying, weighing, and cherry picking of tubes and integrates 2D scanning technology for sample tracking during the sort and weigh processes. BioMicroLab's easy-to-use bench top tube sorters, analytical balances, and 2D scanners automate manual tasks for improved sample management and productivity.

All BioMicroLab products, including the XL20 Tube Handler, XL9 Tube Handler, SampleScan 2D scanners are designed and manufactured at BioMicroLab's headquarters in Concord, California. For further details please visit our website.

Microplate Readers / DetectorsMicroplate readers are used to automate the detection and analysis of labeled or label-free components in microplates during assays or live-cell monitoring. Microplate readers are generally distinguished by their mode of detection. Types include absorbance, luminescence, fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarization, TRF / FRET and multimode microplate readers. Microplate readers deliver a high throughput of samples by reading multiple wells simultaneously, with the 96-well format the most commonly used. As a result, microplate readers are often used in the drug discovery, bioassays, research and pharmaceutical industries for screening applications. Microplate loading can also be automated, with robotic microplate stackers to increase throughput.
