Product news

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc.’s new SsoAdvanced™ SYBR® Green supermix helps researchers generate reproducible, high quality qPCR data with even the most difficult templates and samples.

At the heart of the SsoAdvanced™ SYBR® Green supermix lies Bio-Rad’s proprietary Sso7d-fusion polymerase, engineered for enhanced qPCR performance. In addition to increasing enzyme processivity and delivering run times 25% faster than current fast qPCR mixes, this technology minimizes the impact of common PCR inhibitors and allows researchers to work with compromised samples such as blood — benefits that are unavailable from conventional DNA polymerases.

SsoAdvanced™ SYBR® Green supermix is compatible with both standard and fast cycling conditions, letting customers use the SYBR® Green qPCR protocols they prefer without optimization. This includes both three-step (denaturation, annealing, and extension) and two-step (denaturation, annealing/extension) protocols.

Additional benefits of the SsoAdvanced™ SYBR® Green supermix include:
• Broad dynamic range and sensitivity — accurate and sensitive detection of a broad range of expression targets, including amplification of a single copy target gene
• Increased tolerance to varying reaction conditions — consistent performance across a range of primer concentrations and annealing/extension temperatures
• Decreased time to results without compromising data quality — rapid polymerization kinetics and instant polymerase activation
