Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., a multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research and clinical diagnostic products, today announced the availability of a new application guide (number 5700 Rev.A) for the Bio-Rad Gene Pulser® MXcell™ electroporation system. The 18-page guide is designed to help researchers using the Gene Pulser MXcell to determine the parameters for obtaining efficient transfection of molecules into primary mammalian cells, while maintaining high cell viability.

The guide provides detailed information on all parameters involved in electroporation and their interaction with each other as well as the cell. It also offers step-by-step instructions on optimizing specific parameters when starting with known electroporation conditions, as well as starting with a cell line in which no conditions exist.
