The Alpha Cycler 4 from PCRmax, a Bibby Scientific company, enables independent control and monitoring of four blocks in one thermal cycler system for cost-effective DNA analysis in high throughput and multi-user life science labs.

The AC4 PCR machine supports multiuser functionality by condensing four truly independent blocks into one chassis, saving precious laboratory space and enabling high throughput PCR such as for Sanger sequencing and screening applications, as well as highly accurate PCR in applications such as next-generation sequencing.

The system’s innovative software ensures high quality data is readily delivered. Coupled with an intuitive Android OS interface, the AC4 allows secure, user-specific and simplified programming with little to no training required, saving significant research time and costs. Additional features include a unique reporting and diagnostic function via a free mobile app as well as a specially designed program wizard to allow optimised reaction outcomes.

“The Alpha Cycler 4 delivers high performance PCR for up to four different analyses in one easy-to-use system,” said Andrew Birnie, Business Development Manager at PCRmax. “The AC4’s additional features, such as its reporting function and recently-used program option, allow users to monitor their runs and access programs remotely as well as making high quality PCR more accessible for users.”
