HORIBA Jobin Yvon is pleased to announce the launch of the new Freezer Mill series.

These cryogenic laboratory mills chill samples in liquid nitrogen and pulverize them with a magnetically driven impactor. It is a compact and unique mill with an integral liquid nitrogen reservoir, programmable touch screen controls and multiple user memory settings. Various tubes can be used, including micro vials for very small volumes (e.g., one hair).

These Freezer Mills have been recognized as the world’s most effective laboratory mill or the “mill of last resort” for many normally impossible to grind samples such as plastics, rubbers, polymers, volatile compounds... It is particularly well suited to DNA/RNA extraction, pharmaceutical analyses, drug testing and medical research.
