Anachem Ltd and software partners Aitken Scientific have successfully developed a unique software solution for the groundbreaking ReactArray™ ST Automated Equilibrium Solubility Testing Workstation.

The Solubility Tester™ (ST) is a patented device designed for drug solubility screening in the early stage of pharmaceutical development, as low solubility can reduce compound bioavailability and make ADME assays more difficult.

Aitken Scientific quickly grasped the requirements involved and developed software based on the proven ReactArray platform to target this specialist area. With a new user interface and changes to the Data Manager to calculate ST-specific results, the software enables easier, faster, and more efficient gathering of solubility data under completely controlled conditions, even at elevated temperatures.

The ReactArray ST software wizard simplifies the set-up by constructing a method from parameters such as the number of studies, temperatures, solvents and dilutions specified by the user. The software also handles the wide range of analyte concentrations that would normally create HPLC quantitation problems. Tests carried out by leading pharmaceutical companies, with ReactArray ST, have produced equilibrium solubility data that correlate well with published data and have enabled faster decision-making by the development scientist.
