Artel, the leader in liquid handling quality assurance, is proud to announce that they have expanded their services for automated liquid handlers with the roll out of the new Accredited Calibration Service (ACS). Enhancing Artel’s existing services to meet customers’ evolving needs, ACS is an ISO 17025:2005 accredited service which provides accredited liquid handling calibrations and detailed certificates that meet all regulatory standards and help pass audits. The ACS team can work with the customer to troubleshoot liquid handling methods and labware, calibrate equipment and processes using lab-specific methods and critical volumes, and provide ISO-compliant documentation. This beneficial service allows labs to make the best use of valuable resources, including time and personnel, to focus on the work that matters most.

“In order to ensure quality, regulated labs of all sizes have had to burn valuable time testing and optimizing their liquid handlers, or have employed service providers with limited testing protocols.” says Emily Avis, Laboratory Applications Specialist & Product Manager, “Labs now have a reliable and efficient option with qualified Artel experts collecting data, performing custom calibrations, and providing a comprehensive calibration certificates. And further, this service is ISO accredited.”

The ACS is the first ISO 17025 accredited calibration service of its kind for automated liquid handlers. Working closely with the customer, a qualified calibration expert arrives on-site with a proprietary multichannel verification system (MVS), reagents, and plates needed for testing. Artel runs the MVS and provides accredited digital “As Found”, “In Process”, and “As Left” certificates. ACS can test volumes, ranging from 0.1µL to 350µL in a 96-well plate or 0.01-55µL in a 384-well plate, and can support any automated liquid handler capable of dispensing into a black bottom micro-titer plate. Audited and accredited by the A2LA, ACS meets the highest laboratory standards including those required by forensic service providers, ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
