ADME LIMS keeps an eye on sampling time deviations

The latest release of Debra, LabLogic Systems' LIMS for non-clinical ADME studies, makes it even easier to collect and monitor time data for blood PK samples.

Debra already has a function to record the actual time of dosing, from which it calculates the theoretical time at which a sample should be captured. It then gives the technician a chronologically ordered set of samples, each with a countdown clock set to the optimum sampling time.

Release 5.7 adds a time deviation function that calculates any percentage deviations from the theoretical time; samples falling outside this limit can be flagged and independently reported. For those who want to capture data offline, it is also possible to print out the theoretical sample times.

Huw Loaring, LabLogic systems director, said “The ability of Debra to record dose time and alert users when samples need to be collected has always been a useful tool in the system, and the addition of filters to see if samples are taken early or late has been requested by a number of customers.”

The other major addition to Debra 5.7 is the new module for all types of Protein Binding assay – Equilibrium Dialysis, Ultrafiltration, Ultracentrifugation and Blood Cell Association, as well as Non-specific Binding and Time to Equilibrium experiments.

The module captures directly all instrument measurements and provides a comprehensive set of report templates, removing the need for laborious and error-prone QC checking of data transcription and results tables.
