TaKaRa Dephospharylation（BAP）Kit是用于除去DNA片段5’末端磷酸基团的试剂盒。本试剂盒使用了Bacterial Alkaline Phosphatase（BAP)，与TaKaRa公司独自开发的5’末端去磷酸化反应液相结合，可以对DNA片段的5’末端进行高效的去磷酸化反应。
进行DNA克隆实验时，如果将载体进行单酶切或平滑末端酶切时，应对载体的5’末端进行去磷酸化处理，否则当载体与DNA片段连接时很容易产生载体自连（自身环化）现象，从而可能导致DNA克隆实验的失败。
本试剂盒中还含有Control DNA以及高效连接液Ligation Mix，可以进行Control实验。而高效连接液Ligation Mix可以在极短时间内（5分钟左右）完成连接反应，且其连接液可以直接用于细菌转化，大大方便了克隆实验。
